Scissors: Chapter 2 Wraps Production – A Brutal, Sex-Positive Slasher Sequel Takes Shape
Sparks Entertainment has confirmed that principal photography has officially concluded on Harry Sparks’ Scissors: Chapter 2, the sequel to the award-winning erotic horror film Scissors, now streaming on Amazon Prime and Tubi. The production marks a continuation of Sparks’ growing genre franchise, one built on slasher tradition, adult-industry representation, and micro-budget creativity pushed to its limits.
The new film follows the return of Scissors, the killer clown who drove the first movie’s narrative. This chapter centers on another group of young women forced into a nightmarish ordeal as the antagonist ramps up the violence. Styled as a tribute to 1970s and 1980s slasher cinema, the sequel expands both its world and its brutality, emphasizing practical effects, large ensemble scenes, and the aesthetic grit associated with classic horror of that era.
A Cast That Reflects the Franchise’s Sex-Positive Identity
Several performers from the original film reprise their roles, including Avery Jane, Blake Blossom, Annie Cruz, Tommy Pistol, and James Bartholet. They are joined by a substantial roster of new cast members: Violet Myers, Kazumi, Nadia White, Daisy Ducati, Coco Lovelock, Tanya Tate, Lexington Steele, Tommy Gunn, Kimmy Kimm, and Gizelle Blanco.
The production also includes two notable additions from outside the adult industry: Ginger Lynn, a legendary figure in adult cinema with a long mainstream resume, and Scott Schwartz, recognized for his roles in A Christmas Story and A Christmas Story Christmas.
Kazumi, appearing in her first mainstream production, described the experience as affirming within an industry that has been historically resistant to adult-performer crossover:
“Scissors 2 was such an amazing experience. It’s my first venture into a mainstream film, and it’s obviously so sex worker-friendly. Seeing adult performers treated as entertainers on equal footing is a major step forward.”
A Difficult Shoot Completed Through Collaboration
Director Harry Sparks acknowledged the challenges behind the production, citing a short schedule and a micro-budget that required precision and cooperation from all departments. Sparks emphasized that the cast and crew worked under conditions typical of independent horror filmmaking, relying on coordination, long days, and a cohesive shared vision:
“With an extremely short production schedule and a micro budget, it can be a challenge to produce a professional-looking horror film like this. But everyone rose to the occasion and made something truly special.”
Sparks credited cinematographer Craven Moorehead, special effects makeup artist Alex Moon, and co-producer James Bartholet for their contributions to the final product.
He also addressed the unexpected trajectory of the original film:
“When I created the story and characters for Scissors, I had no idea it would become as popular as it has. I can’t wait for fans to see the new movie.”
