NANOWAR OF STEEL Drop a Genghis-Sized EP and the Most Unhinged VIP Experience in Metal History

NANOWAR OF STEEL return with absurd metal chaos, a new Genghis Khan–themed EP, and their unhinged “Feet & Greet” tour - expect jokes, riffs, and toes.

A Genghis-Sized Return From NANOWAR OF STEEL

Parody metal’s crowned chaos-lords NANOWAR OF STEEL are back, sharpening their wits, tuning their lutes, and – apparently – moisturising their toes for battle. To celebrate their upcoming European run with Mongolian rock warriors Uuhai, the Italian madmen are unleashing The Genghis Khan EP to End All Genghis Khan EPs on January 7, 2026 via Napalm Records. And trust me: it’s exactly as gloriously stupid and stupidly glorious as the title implies.

True to form, NANOWAR OF STEEL continue their noble quest to prove no genre, trope, or historical figure is safe from their weaponized absurdity. From industrial stompers to nursery rhymes roared into the abyss, this is a band that looks at “creative boundaries” the same way Genghis Khan looked at “continental borders.”

Welcome to the “Feet & Greet” – Yes, It’s Exactly What It Sounds Like

Supporting the EP is their brand-new single “Feet & Greet”, featuring Mikael Sehlin of Amaranthe screaming – allegedly – from “the depths of his foot.” This track is peak NANOWAR: cheesy foot puns, stomping industrial grooves, and a breakdown that feels like you’re being lectured by a particularly judgmental podiatrist.

And because the band never met a gag they couldn’t transform into a full marketing campaign, they’re taking the “Feet & Greet” literally on tour. Starting January 9, 2026, across 27 European dates, VIP fans can choose between two gloriously deranged tiers:

  • Cradle of Feet – for the casual toe enjoyer
  • 70,000 Tons of Emmental – which includes a physical EP and what we can only assume is a lifetime’s worth of bragging rights

Prepare your socks accordingly.

More Genghis Khan, More Chaos, More Code

But NANOWAR OF STEEL didn’t sculpt this EP from just one joke. Oh no. These are artisans of absurdity. Alongside “Feet & Greet,” fans are treated to:

  • “Genghis Khan (The Genghis Khan Song to End All Genghis Khan Songs)” – featuring Enrico di Lorenzo (Hideous Divinity) and delivering 97% historically accurate facts about the Mongolian painter rejected by the Ulaanbaatar Art Academy. Naturally.
  • “Kotlin” – another return to the band’s beloved world of programming languages, celebrating JVM type inference with the passion most bands reserve for heartbreak.
  • “IRIDE” – their previously released ode to multispectral satellite imagery, because why the hell not?

Each track flexes the band’s secretly ridiculous musicianship while reminding you that yes, this is the same band that wrote a ballad about Odin being a disco-loving pervert.

A Tour You’ll Tell Your Descendants About

The physical EP will be tour-exclusive, meaning collectors will have to hunt it down in the wild—preferably before the February 8 finale in Berlin. NANOWAR OF STEEL are bringing Uuhai along for the ride, plus rotating openers to ensure every night is its own bizarre carnival.

Expect chaos. Expect laughter. Expect more feet than you’re emotionally prepared for.

The Band Sums It Up Best

“This EP is dedicated to a historical figure that no one ever wrote songs about, except only for Sabaton, Warkings, The Hu, Avantasia, Uuhai, Cavalera Conspiracy and Iron Maiden…”

In other words: this is NANOWAR OF STEEL at their most unapologetically themselves. Loud, clever, ridiculous, and – whether you like it or not – catchy enough to invade your brain like a horde on horseback.

Tracklisting:

  1. Genghis Khan (The Genghis Khan Song to End All Genghis Khan Songs)
  2. Feet & Greet
  3. IRIDE
  4. Kotlin

Saddle up, moisturise your toes, and prepare for impact.
