Asylum Press Digs Up New Horrors for the Winter Chill
Just when you thought it was safe to shuffle through another December, Asylum Press has risen from the crypt to drop a blood-curdling treat for horror fans everywhere. Zombie Terrors: Undead Special #1 is clawing its way into comic shops this December – and it’s bringing a buffet of brain-splattering stories to satisfy even the hungriest horror junkies.
Publisher Frank Forte calls it “a truly satisfying feast of the flesh,” and honestly, we’re inclined to believe him. After a long wait thanks to production hell and industry hiccups, the flesh-eating anthology is finally ready to tear through shelves via Lunar Distribution. Consider it the perfect stocking stuffer for the gorehound in your life.
“The only thing worse than the dead are the stories they leave behind,”
— Frank Forte, Publisher, Asylum Press

A Corpse Cart Full of Stories
This one-shot anthology comes packing four fresh slices of zombie horror – each more grotesque, creative, and wickedly fun than the last.
Bloody Good Time – An undercover cop stumbles into a cursed biker club and discovers that the only thing worse than bad company… is undead company. Based on a story by Mark Kidwell (’68, Frazetta’s Dark Kingdom), written by Jeff Vigil, with art by cult legend Tim Vigil (Faust).
Cellar Dwellers – Serial killers, karma, and corpses that won’t stay buried. Dwayne Harris (Heavy Metal, Warlash) writes and illustrates a tale that’s pure, twisted payback from beyond the grave.
Cosplay Sacrifice – Ever wonder what happens when your favorite comic book characters turn into the undead? Frank Forte gives us a fang-tastic mash-up of fandom and flesh-eating chaos.
Survival – Writer Pablo Barbieri and artist Carlos Vega serve up a brutal, melancholic glimpse of a family doing whatever it takes to outlast the apocalypse. Created in memory of the late Carlos Vera, the story dives deep into paranoia, secrecy, and survival at its most human.

“It’s the tale of cautious, silent men who carry a dark secret. Today, the time has come to launch it into the world – and enjoy it, from this plane and the next.”
— Pablo Barbieri, Writer of Survival
Even Harris himself couldn’t contain his excitement:
“Asylum Press does the best indie horror comics out there – and this issue proves the zombie genre is still undead and kicking!”
A Resurrection Years in the Making

Fans are encouraged to pre-order before November 10, 2025, because this issue is shaping up to be collector gold — complete with four variant covers, including a NSFW Risqué edition by Tim Vigil.
